We use timepieces from Seiko. In the past, we have also used Miyota (Citizen) timepieces. These timepieces can be serviced by many certified Seiko or Citizen. However, it is wise to contact us first so that we can advise you. Of course, we can also provide maintenance ourselves from our network of watchmakers.
How often do you recommend servicing a Brunmontagne watch?
A mechanical watch is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Just like any other precision instrument that works 24/7, a watch needs to be checked periodically to ensure that it continues to work perfectly. It is impossible to say in advance how often you should have your watch checked. It depends on the model, the climate and how well you take care of your watch yourself. In general, a mechanical watch should be serviced every 6 to 8 years, depending on the circumstances in which the watch is worn.
I suspect my watch is malfunctioning, now what?
Please contact us at info@brunmontagne.com or call us at +31 085 007 4449 and we will be happy to assist you.
How long will it take for my watch to be repaired?
On average, this will take 2-3 weeks, depending on the repair to be performed.
My watch needs a repair but the warranty has expired, now what?
After the inspection and determination of the needed repair, we will first contact you about the expected repair cost. You are then free to decide if you want this repair done. If not, we will return the watch to you in its current condition. If necessary, examination and shipping costs may be charged.
How long do I have a warranty on my Brunmontagne watch?
All products come standard with a 2-year warranty. This warranty applies to all parts that can be repaired. Proof of purchase is required to claim the manufacturer's warranty.
I bought my Brunmontagne from a store and the watch is not functioning properly, what now?
In that case, please contact the store in question. The latter will contact us if necessary.
My watch
Where can I find the manual for my watch?
The manual for your watch can be found in the box of your watch.
Is my watch water resistant?
Yes, all Brunmontagne watches are water resistant to 10ATM (100m). This means that the watches are suitable for swimming, pool diving and snorkeling. By the way, be sure to always return the push button to the neutral position to avoid getting the mechanical movement wet.
Can I have my watch personalized?
We offer you the possibility to have your watch personalized with, for example, a special engraving. If you have other wishes you can always contact us. We gladly think with you.
Please note that personalizing your watch involves additional costs and is not returnable.
Is it wise to watch out for magnetic fields?
Yes, do not place your watch on a loudspeaker or on a refrigerator. These devices create magnetic fields that can damage the watch.
Will my watch withstand shocks?
Do not expose your watch to shocks. This can include shocks during sports, physical work or shocks in terms of temperature changes. This can damage the mechanical movement of your watch.
What is the best way to clean my watch?
You can clean your watch with a toothbrush and soapy water to clean the metal watch straps and water-resistant cases. Then use a soft cloth to dry your watch.
Should I be careful with chemical products?
We recommend avoiding any contact with chemical products. This includes solvents, cleaning agents, perfume, cosmetics, etc. This is because these can damage your watch strap, case or seals.
Is the glass of my watch scratch resistant?
Sapphire glass is the finest and best choice when it comes to protecting your timepiece. It is by far the clearest and strongest type of glass used in watchmaking. In addition, sapphire glass also has a very high level of durability. With a glass hardness (on the Mohs scale) of no less than 9, sapphire glass is almost impossible to break. Only diamond glass (10) is harder than sapphire glass.
My watch stopped after not wearing it for more than two days, now what?
No problem. Our watches are equipped with a mechanical movement that charges automatically. You will find that the watch will start running again automatically as soon as you move it and can then time the watch. When fully wound, your watch will run for about 40 hours before it stops again.
